Queen of 'Kings and Queens'

You find yourself walking down a dark and unfamiliar street. You are cautious and weary of your inexplicable late night stroll, but find yourself lost and unable to find your way.

"My, don't you look like a lucky one?" a melodious voice suddenly purrs behind you.

You whirl around and see that the source of the voice, a woman with assuredly feline features, leaning against the wall just behind you. Surely she wasn't there before! You also can't help but notice that a light seems to be centered upon her. Curious, you take a closer look, and notice that she's covered in black fur, though her exposed belly is white. Her hair, black, like her fur, is pulled back into a bun, though the loose, pink bangs cover some of her face. One of her feline ears stands at attention, while the other is largely covered by a small top hat that's jauntily tilted to the side, you wonder how it could possibly stay on her head. She's dressed in a pinstripe gray halfcoat with a matching pair of slacks. The halfcoat is held with a single golden button with a ruby heart embedded within. The pants are similarly held, though, instead of a heart, you notice a diamond. On her hands are a pair of white gloves with ridiculously large cuffs, the left is held by an onyx club and the right with a spade of the same material. She firmly grasps a smooth black cane, topped with a single die encased in a green globe, in her left hand. She looks up at you with a pair of luminous amber eyes, and gives you a mischievious grin, you can't help but notice her pearly white canines glinting in the poor light.

"Why not try your luck at my casino?" her grin appears to widen as she gestures behind her. You blink and suddenly there's a set of double doors beneath a guady neon sign that reads "Kings and Queens." You give the catwoman a questioning look. She practically slithers up to you and wraps an arm around your shoulders. "Come on, what do you have to lose? You're out here, apparently lost, why not have some fun? Surely you can find your way back in the morning."

Her breath is warm against your neck, and her sweet scent tickles your nose. You feel something's wrong, but you can't help but feel that what she's saying is the absolute truth. Why can't you have fun indeed?

She slowly guides you to the doors, all the while nuzzling your cheek. She purrs softly in your ear, "Here...I'll even get the door for you..."

But, dear reader, be aware that she is Lenor, the Cait Sith. While the rest of her feline Fae brethren are more than content with causing a little bad luck by crossing people's paths, Lenor desires more. She wants money. She wants power. She wants souls. Indeed, Lenor has made her little casino into a well oiled soul sucking machine. She lures hapless mortals into gambling everything they have, and more, and they never stand a chance for she always manages to cross their path at some point. Therefore, dear reader, should you ever come face to face with Lenor, the Queen of the "Kings and Queens" casino, run away very quickly, or at least be sure she stays behind you at all times.



Yeah...cheesy eh? Anywho, as it said, she's Lenor the Cait Sith. Cait Sith being a clan amongst the Fae that has a distinctly...feline appearance. The Cait Sith are sort of the original black cats, the ones that cause REAL bad luck, simply by crossing your path. Well, how better to make a living than a casino owner that can cause bad luck? That...and I was thinking "top hat" when I was doing that thing that I sometimes do with the program and the tablet...what's it called? Anyway...yeah...this is something that happens when I stay up for quite a while...for a few days in a row. On the bright side, here's a picture without the month wait...or something like that, whatever.

In other news...I tried my hand at baking a REAL HONEST TO GOD CHEESECAKE (read...baked from scratch)...I get to see what happened to it...tomorrow
